Marc Wolin is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Seneca since 2013. He has been with the Company since 1989, and has previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He started his career as a Certified Public Accountant and Audit Manager with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers), and has served in financial executive positions with AIG and Primerica (now Citigroup) before joining Seneca. Marc is particularly proud of the diversity at Seneca where women and minorities comprise 55% and 43%, respectively of Seneca’s workforce.
Marc has authored various articles covering sports law relating to officiating, management accounting reporting methods, and social inflation in the insurance industry. He has also been honoree as Insurance Man of the Year for the Chinese American Insurance Association and UJA of Long Island.
Marc has various interests including being a football Referee for NYC high school (PSAL) and semi-professional football leagues since 1982. He is a native of Brooklyn, NY, and resides in Long Island since 1990. He is married with four children and two grandchildren.
Prior to his role as Chief Underwriting Officer with Seneca, Keith McCarthy served as the Senior Vice President of Standard Lines in addition to Regional Vice President for Crum & Forster’s NY/NJ region. In his 22-year tenure with the company, Keith has been instrumental in the development of Seneca’s Package and Casualty division and continues to lead the company with underwriting expertise and strategic development. Keith has held various roles in primary and excess casualty at AIG, Commercial Union Insurance Company and The Home Insurance Company prior to joining to Seneca.
He received his BA from Michigan State and holds a CPCU designation.
Jessica Frankovich has nearly two decades of experience in property and inland marine underwriting, holding a variety of management positions within this space. She currently oversees Seneca’s Inland Marine and Custom Property units as Executive Vice President.
Prior to joining Seneca in 2013, Jessica held underwriting positions at OneBeacon Insurance, Indiana Insurance and The Hanover Insurance Group. She began her career in 2003 as a property underwriter for Liberty Mutual.
Jessica is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Inland Marine Underwriters Association.
She received her BBA in Risk Management and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin, and earned her Master of Business Administration in Finance from DePaul University. Jessica also has her CPCU, AMIM, ARM and ARe designations.
John Rendina is an innovative global risk management professional and enterprise wide change agent. He joined Seneca Insurance in 2012 with a strategic focus to develop creative and disciplined operational approaches using leading edge technology solutions to support Seneca’s profitable insurance outcomes. John provides strategic leadership for key operational objectives and IT initiatives and has management responsibilities for US Operations includes: customer service, underwriting & claims operations support and technology project management to ensure the highest levels of service are provided to Seneca’s clients, brokers and business partners.
During his 35 years of experience, John has provided global operations management oversight for Global Aerospace and AON, e-Commerce business development at GE Capital/Financial Assurance where he directed underwriting, claims and actuarial pricing activities for their personal lines insurance division. Working for CGU – General Accident Insurance, he held territorial underwriting and operations management responsibilities in their Mid-Atlantic Region and Philadelphia US Headquarters. At Allianz–Jefferson Insurance Group he developed and managed admitted and excess & surplus commercial and personal lines underwriting programs.
Progressively since graduation from Susquehanna University, John has expanded his business development capabilities and professional skills in cultivating and maintaining senior relationships at insurance agencies / brokerages, captives, carriers around the world and Lloyds’ of London. During his free time; he enjoys automobile restoration, playing tennis and skiing.
Antonietta joined Crum & Forster in July 2015 as an Executive Specialist in Environmental Claims and was promoted to Manager in September 2016. In August 2017, Antonietta took on the role of Director & Corporate Counsel overseeing all extra-contractual litigation against the C&F companies and providing oversight on all large losses and trials. She was promoted to AVP & Assistant General Counsel in this role in March 2021 and took on additional responsibilities with the C&F Legal department.
Prior to joining C&F, Antonietta practiced insurance defense at Chasan Leyner in Hudson County, New Jersey, after which she became a Complex Director in the Mass Tort Department of AIG handling a wide variety of product liability and toxic tort claims for 8 years. Antonietta graduated from St. John’s University with a B.A. in Psychology and received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. She lives in Madison, New Jersey and spends most of her Fall and Winter at ice rinks watching her son and daughter play hockey.
Dan has been at the forefront of new technology all of his career, and has been implementing his vision for Seneca since he started in 2013. He firmly believes that proactive Risk Management integrated into his team’s best practices has brought this small, but very highly accomplished team, to the standards of excellence they now demonstrate. The creative and progressive approach of this team has enabled the business to navigate through the Pandemic without missing a beat, while also providing new and improved tools which have contributed to significant growth in the business.
Prior to this role, Dan has had some diverse experience in which he achieved very similar accomplishments. In his previous role at Global Aerospace, he drove global solutions into place to solve for the complex nature of the Aerospace Insurance sector. He managed development teams from around the world to put together practical, yet modern solutions that enabled the business to step into the next generation of technology, and drove the growth of this business through use of these tools. Before this, he managed Commodity Systems at M&M/Mars for many years, leading the efforts to build complex accounting and risk management systems for the multi-billion dollar manufacturing giant.
With more than 35 years in the IT world, half of that in the Insurance space, Dan has led many teams, both locally and internationally, in the development and delivery of results for each business he worked in. He graduated near the top of his class at Lafayette College in Easton PA with a degree in Economics and Business, and holds many technical certifications.
Kathleen Alicks, Chief Compliance Officer for Seneca Insurance company, has been with the Crum & Forster (C&F) organization for 20 years. After holding several field leadership positions at C&F/Seneca, she created and developed the Home Office Underwriting Group of Product Line Management in 2018. Shortly thereafter she assumed responsibilities for Regulatory Compliance. She has been instrumental in helping shape the future leaders and underwriters at Seneca by developing various training programs and mentoring several women in the organization.
Kathleen is known to be a great ambassador for Seneca in the C&F group and currently participates in cross-functional guilds, including the Enterprise Risk Officer guild as Seneca’s Risk Officer. Her passion for DEI has given rise for the opportunity to serve on C&F’s DEI council, participate as an ally in several Employee Resource groups including PRIDE & ABES, and is currently serving as an Executive Sponsor for the Women’s ERG WAVE.
Prior to her arrival at C&F/Seneca, she spent the early years of her career honing her underwriting skills at General Star Management, a subsidiary of General Reinsurance. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and attended Fairfield University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.
She is currently married to her husband Chris and has two wonderful sons, Connor and Carter, ages 17 and 15. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her sweet dog ZuZu the Wonder Whoodle and working with Birth Haven, a homeless shelter for young pregnant women in Newton, NJ, where she serves on the Board of Trustees. For fun she likes to play golf with her husband and has recently taken up clay shooting.
